Vuuch Documentation
Page
A Vuuch page is a web page that represents something that needs to be delivered. A Vuuch page tracks a list of activities, notes, shout outs, people, properties (see below) for the page and an events.
Example of pages:
- A team needs to track activities for a component they are designing so they create a page with the name of the component.
- A page can be used to create a simple list of activities.
- A designer working on a CAD model can use a Vuuch add-in and create a page for this model right from within the CAD system.
- Using the Vuuch add-in for Microsoft Office a project manager working on a specification can create a page for the specification.
There are multiple page types in Vuuch as well users can create their own custom page type.
Vuuch page types:
- Generic – The most basic Vuuch page type.
- File – A file page is used to track a specific file type. For example a Microsoft Office file or a specific CAD file. Vuuch can be extended to track any file type.
- Part – Used to track a specific part/component or assembly of a product. Part pages maintain a structure of sub-pages.
- Product – Used to track a product. Product pages maintain a structure of sub-pages.
- Custom – Users can create their own custom page types and share the ability to create pages of this type with additional users. For example a user might create a page type ECO and use this to manage the implementation of ECOs.
Vuuch page properties:
- Page name – The name of the page. For file pages the name of the page can be synced with the name of the file or be different from the name of the file.
- Description – A text description for the page.
- Status – Can be red, yellow or green.
